1. Untargeted Proteomics

Untargeted proteomics, also known as discovery proteomics, is used to identify and quantify thousands of proteins in a biological sample without prior knowledge of specific targets. With Tims TOF Pro-2 and DIA-PASEF, we offer:

  • Deep Proteome Profiling – Provides comprehensive protein identification and characterization from complex biological samples, enabling insights into cellular pathways and disease mechanisms.

  • Comparative Proteomics – Facilitates differential protein expression analysis between conditions (e.g., control vs. disease, treated vs. untreated), helping in biomarker discovery and functional studies.

  • Subcellular & Organellar Proteomics – Allows detailed profiling of proteins in specific cellular compartments, such as mitochondria, nucleus, or exosomes.

  • Temporal & Longitudinal Studies – Tracks proteome changes over time in response to treatments or disease progression.

Proteomica Services is dedicated to advancing biomedical and life science research through comprehensive Proteomics, Metabolomics, and Lipidomics solutions. With state-of-the-art mass spectrometry platforms and robust analytical pipelines, we deliver high-quality insights into proteins, metabolites, and lipid networks. Our services enable researchers to explore disease mechanisms, identify biomarkers, and accelerate drug discovery. From sample preparation to data interpretation, Proteomica Services provides end-to-end solutions tailored to academic, clinical, and industrial research needs, ensuring accuracy, reproducibility, and timely project delivery.

2. Targeted Proteomics

Targeted proteomics is used to precisely quantify specific proteins of interest, offering high sensitivity and reproducibility. This approach is crucial for biomarker validation and clinical applications.

  • Biomarker Validation – Confirms the presence and abundance of disease-specific proteins identified in discovery proteomics, improving diagnostic and prognostic capabilities.

  • Parallel Reaction Monitoring (PRM) – Uses high-resolution mass spectrometry to selectively monitor target peptides with high specificity and sensitivity.

  • Selected Reaction Monitoring (SRM/MRM) – A gold-standard technique for quantifying known proteins in biological or clinical samples with absolute accuracy.

  • Custom Panel Development – Enables the design of specific assays tailored to research needs, such as drug response studies or personalized medicine.

3. Quantitative Proteomics

Quantitative proteomics focuses on measuring the relative or absolute abundance of proteins across multiple conditions. Our Tims TOF Pro-2 with DIA-PASEF provides precise and reproducible quantification through:

  • Label-Free Quantification (LFQ) – Measures protein abundance in different samples without chemical labeling, making it cost-effective for large-scale studies.

  • TMT/iTRAQ-Based Quantification – Uses isobaric tags to label proteins from multiple conditions, allowing simultaneous comparison of up to 16 samples in a single run.

  • Data-Independent Acquisition (DIA) Quantification – Eliminates biases associated with traditional Data-Dependent Acquisition (DDA), ensuring accurate quantification of low-abundance proteins.

  • Absolute Quantification (AQUA/SILAC) – Utilizes stable isotope-labeled standards to determine absolute protein concentrations in biological samples.

4. Post-Translational Modification (PTM) Analysis

PTMs regulate protein function and are crucial for understanding cell signaling, disease mechanisms, and therapeutic targets. Our PTM-focused proteomics services include:

  • Phosphoproteomics – Identifies and quantifies phosphorylated proteins, which play a key role in signal transduction and cancer biology.

  • Glycoproteomics – Characterizes glycosylation patterns, which are critical for immune response, cancer progression, and neurodegenerative diseases.

  • Ubiquitin & Acetylation Studies – Studies modifications related to protein degradation, gene regulation, and epigenetics.

  • Redox Proteomics (Oxidation/Nitrosylation Studies) – Investigates oxidative stress-induced modifications, important in aging, neurodegeneration, and cardiovascular diseases.

  • SUMOylation, Methylation, & Lipidation – Explores other regulatory modifications affecting protein stability and cellular processes.

Important Note:

For enrichment, labeling, or advanced-level sample processing, researchers are required to perform these steps prior to sample submission. This includes:

  • Enrichment Techniques (e.g., phosphoprotein or glycoprotein enrichment) to isolate specific protein subsets.

  • Stable Isotope Labeling (e.g., SILAC, TMT, iTRAQ) for quantitative proteomics.

  • Custom Sample Preparation for specialized experiments (e.g., crosslinking, chemical modifications).
